Built to party.
If you live for laps, destroy rear tyres and always send it sideways, you’re going to want the Ariel 80.
Fun first and 27.5 for life — our take on a park bike is designed to thrive at every UK centre and even in the Alps.
This bike loves to pop off lips, swing sideways and flick through trees. The bigger the grin on your face, the harder the Ariel 80 works to keep it there.
Our all-new custom-butted and hydroformed 6013 aluminium frame has been put through its paces by bottom-out king Matt Walker and survived to make it into production.
Every millimetre of the 180mm travel is designed to work hard, whether that’s smoothing out rock chatter and braking bumps, sending jump lines, or holding traction through loose turns.
The Ariel 80 gives you a full-on park bike experience with enough left in the tank to head somewhere with real mountains and push it to the limit.
You’ll never feel short-changed on travel when charging through boulders thanks to the RockShox ZEB fork up front, while the Marzocchi Bomber CR coil shock out back deals with the aftermath.
Shimano’s latest Deore drivetrain delivers a wide-range 11?51 gearing setup, paired with an upgraded SLX rear derailleur. Stopping duties are handled by reliable two-piston Deore brakes matched to 203mm rotors for extra bite.
DT Swiss E532 rims are enduro-ready, with a 30mm internal width that gives the Maxxis Minion DHRII tyres plenty of support. Both are tubeless ready — just add tape, valves and sealant.
RaceFace 35mm finishing kit and a KS dropper post complete a spec sheet with no weak points — and that’s before you get into the small details.
There’s internal routing for everything — including the dropper post — superboost spacing for extra clearance, and large bearings designed for long service life and easy replacement.
Just don’t try to stick a 29er fork up front. You’ll trigger our inbuilt safety system that alerts everyone on Pinkbike to the crimes you’re committing.
