From local loam to trail centres and natural terrain that a bike with this little travel should have no right tackling, this is the bike that can do it all.
At the heart of it is our all-new custom-butted and hydroformed 6013 aluminium frame.
Designed and developed with the help of Matt Walker from the Madison Saracen Factory Racing Team, you know it’s been pushed through the wringer and built to last while going fast.
Every Ariel 30 features size-specific wheels, with small and medium bikes running a 29/27.5 mullet setup, while large and extra-large sizes use full 29er wheels.
But what if you change your mind faster than the bike industry decides on the best wheel size?
We thought of that too. Whichever Ariel 30 you choose, we’ve included additional push links so you can swap them out and experiment. All you’ll need is the correct size rear wheel.
Our benchmark model features everything you’d expect from a modern trail bike and will leave you wondering whether you really need anything more capable to have a great time.
The 130mm of travel comes from a Fox DPS Performance air shock with three-position adjustment, while the Marzocchi Bomber Z2 fork up front is ready to take on every black run you dare point it at.
Shimano’s latest Deore groupset has already earned praise for its crisp shifting, while the SLX rear mech handles the full range of the super-wide 10?51 cassette. Stopping duties are taken care of by dependable two-piston Deore brakes.
DT Swiss M442 rims are built for durability and feature a 22.5mm internal width, approved for tyres up to 2.5 inches wide. We’ve paired them with dependable Maxxis Minion DHRII tyres and, like the rims, they’re tubeless ready — just add tape, valves and sealant.
RaceFace finishing kit keeps things dialled, with a modern 35mm diameter bar and stem, while the KS Rage dropper post completes the package.
When it comes to the details, there’s internal routing for everything — including the dropper post — room for a 550ml bottle, superboost spacing for additional clearance, and large bearings for long-lasting durability and easy servicing.

The Saracen Ariel 30 might be one of the cheaper entries into the brand’s range of bicycles, but it feels anything but budget. Have your new bicycle or frame ready to collect in-store for free. Please wait until you have heard from your selected store prior to travelling as an experienced and certified mechanic will build and complete a pre-delivery inspection in-store.

Get your new bicycle or frame delivered straight to your door. Includes professional bike build, safety checks and pre delivery inspection, packing and shipment. We aim to get bikes despatched within 7 working days however this may vary during very busy periods. We use a premium two man delivery service to deliver all of our bikes and frames to ensure they arrive in the best possible condition. The courier will message you directly with updates on your order. Please note, a signature is required to confirm proof of delivery. RETURNS: We hope you’re happy with your purchase. If you’re not perfectly satisfied and the order was placed in the last 30 days, you can contact us to arrange a returns collection.
