Our flagship enduro bike, the Saracen Ariel 60 has been built to take on the wildest wilderness epics, bikepark laps and can of course get competitive between the tapes.
At the heart of the brand new 160mm suspension platform is our Series 3 custom-butted and hydroformed 6013 aluminium frame.
It’s enduro-ready and while we might not have an EWS race team, we do have Matt Walker from the Madison Saracen Factory Racing Team.
Matt is a rider who knows how to push a bike far beyond what most people think is possible. The first time he rode the Ariel 60, we saw the bike almost hesitate as he dropped in — as if it knew things were about to get serious.
The testing brief was simple: ride it as hard as he rides his Myst, but with one difference — he’d be pedalling back up the climbs too.
Now it’s Matt’s favourite bike to jump on, with a steep seat tube and efficient suspension design helping on the way up, and serious capability on the way back down.
It’s also easy to get the right fit on an Ariel 60 thanks to size-specific wheel setups. Small and medium bikes run a 29/27.5 mullet configuration, while large and extra-large sizes use full 29er wheels.
But what if you change your mind faster than the industry can decide on the ?correct? wheel size?
We thought of that too. Whichever Ariel 60 you choose, we’ve included additional push links so you can swap them out and experiment. All you’ll need is the correct size rear wheel.
Our Pro model delivers 160mm of race-ready travel through a Fox Float X2 Performance air shock and Fox 38 Performance Elite fork with GRIP2 damper, giving full control over every setting.
The latest Shimano SLX drivetrain continues to set the standard for shifting performance, and paired with an XT rear derailleur, every one of the 12 gears across the 11?51 cassette is crisp and precise.
A 30mm internal width DT Swiss E532 rim provides a strong and supportive base for Maxxis Minion DHRII tyres, which are tubeless ready — just add tape, valves and sealant.
RaceFace supply the bar and stem with a modern 35mm clamp diameter, while the KS Rage dropper post is our choice for fast, reliable saddle adjustment.
When it comes to the details, there’s internal routing for everything — including the dropper post — room for a 550ml bottle, superboost spacing for added clearance, and large bearings designed for long service life and easy maintenance.

Have your new bicycle or frame ready to collect in-store for free. Please wait until you have heard from your selected store prior to travelling as an experienced and certified mechanic will build and complete a pre-delivery inspection in-store.

Get your new bicycle or frame delivered straight to your door. Includes professional bike build, safety checks and pre delivery inspection, packing and shipment. We aim to get bikes despatched within 7 working days however this may vary during very busy periods. We use a premium two man delivery service to deliver all of our bikes and frames to ensure they arrive in the best possible condition. The courier will message you directly with updates on your order. Please note, a signature is required to confirm proof of delivery. RETURNS: We hope you’re happy with your purchase. If you’re not perfectly satisfied and the order was placed in the last 30 days, you can contact us to arrange a returns collection.
