- The M15 adapter can also be used to install any of Park Tool's nine aluminium bottom bracket tools, all of which feature integrated threading for use with the BBT-RS

Park Tool was formed after two Minnesota bike shops owners created the first purpose-built bicycle repair stand in 1956. Initially only built for themselves, the stand proved to be extremely popular and attracted interest from other shop owners and mechanics, so much so that it was eventually redesigned and made available for sale in 1963.
Since then as bicycles became more complex and more sophisticated tools were needed to service them. The PRS-1 was soon joined by more tools and implements to look after all manner of bicycles. These new tools continued to be made at the back of a bike shop until 1966 when they moved to a brand new 7,000 square foot building.
By 1981 the Park Tool brand was fully established and had a catalogue of 60 unique products. As of 2023, there are over 500 products in the Park Tool range and the brand is by far the number one bicycle tool brand in the industry. A favourite for professional and home mechanics alike, Park Tool is known for manufacturing high-quality tools that riders can rely on.
