The Genesis Columbia Road is a UK-designed E-Bike perfect for town and country with a powerful pedal-assist system. Wide tyres make it ready to ride on road or across towpaths and gravel tracks.
Built from our Mjolnir double-butted chromoly tube set, the Columbia Road is instantly recognisable thanks to its twin top tube and classic styling. The dropped top tube creates a step-through frame design, making it easier to get into the saddle.
Wherever you take the Columbia Road, Shimano's STEPS E6100 motor has the power to make hills disappear, keeping a smile on your face all ride long.
With an impressive range of up to 150km in Eco mode the Columbia Road is perfect for local trips, with enough capacity for longer rides through the countryside.
Encounter a tough climb or just need an extra boost? Take advantage of the two higher-power modes and keep pedalling in comfort.
Once your ride is over, recharge time is just two hours to 80% capacity or four hours to 100%.
Built with practical touches the Columbia Road features a pair of Atranvelo racks to which you can attach a range of bags, baskets and crates - perfect for small shopping trips and ride essentials alike.
Front and rear lights are also included with the bike and if you're leaving the Columbia Road outside the shops, the attached Trelock ring lock system is the perfect solution. Just add your preferred cable for maximum security.
The Columbia Road is finished with high quality and durable Shimano components.
Hydraulic disc brakes provide assured stopping power in all conditions, while a single-chainring, 9-speed drivetrain provides uncomplicated shifting across a wide range of gears.
For added piece of mind the Columbia Road frame is supplied with a lifetime warranty.
Adventure is meant to be spontaneous and the limiting factor should be your imagination, not what you’re riding.

Genesis is also the creator of a true cycling icon: the Croix de Fer. It’s the original adventure bike that’s taken ambitious riders literally all over the globe. Vin Cox rode 18,000 miles in 163 days on his to circumnavigate the globe and since then countless Genesis models have carried riders on the adventures from their wildest dreams; from Alaska to Patagonia, up 39 of Europe’s highest peaks, an adventure from Tehran to Kyrgyzstan and, yes, one British National Road Racing title thrown in to boot.
Since the Day One was released back in 2001, Genesis has come a long way. These days the range still heavily features the venerable Croix de Fer, but we’ve added an even more out-there bike in the Fugio, a monster with room for MTB tyres if you want to really push the limits and re-ignite the spirit of 1990s MTB riding with a drop-bar bike. Genesis also has a whole variety of utility bikes from the single-speed Flyer to the backswept Broadway via the rack-equipped Brixton and two E-Bikes in the Smithfield and Columbia Road. And let’s not forget the Tour de Fer, which is the spirit of a classic touring bike dressed in up-to-date components and the Longitude, a 27.5+ rigid MTB for those days when your imagination outweighs your common sense.
